4. Surface treatment
The anodic oxidation of the aluminium profiles and/or sheets must be carried out in accordance with DIN 17611. The quality guidelines for anodic oxide layers on aluminium (EURAS/EWAA), issued by Gütegemeinschaft Anodisiertes Aluminium e.V. [Quality association for anodised aluminium],
Irrerstr. 17-19, 90403 Nuremberg, shall be observed as minimum requirements; alternatively anodising shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions governing the quality mark for anodic generated oxide layers on wrought aluminium products (issued October 1995) of Qualanod Zürich, CH-8027, Zürich.
The coating of all parts shall be preceded by faultless, specialised pre-treatment. The quality regulations of Gütegemeinschaft für die Stückbeschichtung von Bauteilen e.V. [Quality association for the piece coating of building components], Franziskanergasse 6, 73525 Schwäbisch Gmünd, shall be observed or coatings shall be applied according to the acquisition of the quality mark for coatings on architectural aluminium applied by wet and powder painting (issued October 1995) by Qualicoat Zürich, CH-8027 Zürich.
On request, the bidder shall present a test report regarding compliance with the quality guidelines from the designated surface treatment company.
The client reserves the right to arrange for suitable testing (e.g. test of coating thickness, cross cut adhesion test), at the bidder´s expense, in order to check that this requirement has been observed.
